The quintessential comfort food
Old fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies. Who doesn’t love ’em? It’s the ultimate snack or dessert, and when it’s homemade, your kitchen will smell heavenly! If your looking a chocolate chip cookie that is both soft and chewy with a nice crust on the outside, keep reading!
- 1 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon backing soda
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Next mix the butter and sugar in a bowl.
Add one egg at a time, then the vanilla. In a separate cup, mix hot water and baking soda and add those to the mixture along with the salt. Next, add your flour and then chocolate chips.
Form into balls and place on baking tray on baking parchment, make sure they each have enough space when they melt down and cook. Cook for about 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
