I go coo coo for my coconut

Alright, so my original plan was to speak to you about several different essential oils as a whole BUT once I began, I noticed I simply could not take away the importance of each and every precious oil I use. So, I decided to start off by enlightening you about the rich oil which I personally use (religiously). I was introduced to coconut oil about a year ago and ever since then, there is not a day that passes by where my body does not absorb the lavishness of the oil.

Hair & Skin Moisturizer, antioxidant, and more…

Coconut oil is a marvelous oil which operates as a wonderful moisturizer for my skin and hair. Not only does it leave skin incredibly silky smooth but it also has super antibacterial/antimicrobial properties. It delivers a good source of antioxidant vitamin E that reduces the absorption of toxins and pesticides through the skin while strengthening tissues as it removes excessive dead skin cells.

Sunscreen?

My super ingredient (coconut oil ;) has even replaced my sunscreen. Why you ask? Because coconut oil can be used as a mild form of sunscreen; blocking about 20% of the sun’s UV rays. Yes, you heard it here! How better can it get? A “natural” ingredient which moisturizes, helps eliminate those nasty toxins and protect your precious skin from harmful rays.

Makeup Remover

It doesn’t stop here ladies; I found that coconut oil can even replace your artificial makeup remover. Great huh?! I know I seem a bit too excited : ) but I really do love this oil and I want to share the advantages I’m aware of.

Hair Nourishment

I can go on and on with how much I use coconut during my daily routine. For example, hair. Other than that beautiful shine it leaves, using coconut oil on the hair can be replaced for your conditioner to help strengthen weakened dull hair. Now because coconut oil carries triglyceride of lauric acid (principal fatty acid), it has the resemblance of hair proteins which allows it to penetrate inside the hair shaft. A friend of mine told me that she had an issue with dandruff control and heard that coconut oil may be the solution. She tried it by rubbing the oil into her scalp a couple of times per week and voilà! She was dandruff free!

These are and I’m sure only a few benefits that coconut oil provides and I am still exploring it on my own. It’s your turn to give it a try. I am confident that you too will love coconut oil.

Until next time : )
