Make your own falafel dough using this delicious and complete spice mix.
Instructions
- Drain one 16 oz can of chickpeas.
- Combine chickpeas in a food processor with 1 clove garlic, one onion, 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 4 tablespoons flour, 1 heaping tablespoon Sea of Herbs falafel mix and 1 teaspoon salt.
- Pulse the mixture until it is blended but not mushed.
- Deep fry the falafels in very hot oil until golden brown (oil must be hot or the falafels will fall apart). Test one first. If the falafel falls apart, add another tablespoon of flour to the mix and test again.
- Stuff in a pita with tomatoes, cucumbers and tahini sauce.
- Eat :)
